Fx

Fx Readme

Fx is a tool I made to increase productivity at the school district I work at. I would describe it as a lite, more friendly version of DoesNotBelong and PrivWindoze combined. It aims to strip out as much as possible on the Windows install, searches for malware, while also maintaining device compliance. I found this necessary to do since we deal with a lot of older hardware… I’m talking Optiplex 9020s here folks… that also require Windows 11.

It also aims to provide some pertinent information about the system. For example, how many different user profiles are on the system? What are their names? Are any Microsoft Intune files missing? How about a dump of the existing Microsoft Intune logs? Just some basic information for now is displayed to help the tech troubleshoot the system. I’m also new to Microsoft Intune so it’d be nice to understand it better even though I don’t really have to work with it.

I’ve also added some of the tedious tasks, such as disabling Hibernation, resetting winsock, and flushing DNS. and I’m working on modifying the Power Plan via script. For example, Turn Off Hard Disk: Never would be a nice feature to have. Teachers don’t have time to be waiting for their devices to ‘wake up’, and history shows Hibernation and Fast Startup cause more problems than intended.

Anyways, it’s a free tool that I’m still testing and developing. Just wanted to show what I’m working on

Let me know if you decide to try it out. Regards
